Zerda Family Tattoo

Special thanks to Paul, the Zerda family tattoo artist - http://www.tattoosbypaul.com/.
On February 16 and 17, Jimmy Zerda got a few tattoos at Gully Cat tattoo parlor on South First Street in Austin, TX. Four months later, on Saturday, June 17, the rest of the Zerda family ventured to Gully Cat Tattoo parlor and got their own tattoos in memory of Jimmy. The family tattoo was created by Paul Smith, the same tattoo artist who created Jimmy’s tattoos. It was based off a combination of two tattoos that Jimmy had gotten on his shoulders. It includes a blue stick figure with a golden halo (in reference to “Jimmy the Saint”) and a series of initials below him. The initials are based on one of Jimmy’s tattoos that said “Proud to be a Zerda.” In this case, they stand for “Proud to be Jimmy’s ______ (Sister, Brother, Mom, Dad).” We hope you enjoy the photo documentation of the event (we are sure Jimmy got a kick out of it) and next time you see a Zerda, ask to see the tattoo.

Special thanks to Paul Smith. Check out his website at www.tattoosbypaul.com.
